  • 4 Tablespoons vegetable oil
    1/3 cup all-purpose flour
    1 white onion, chopped
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    2 celery stalks, chopped
    2 links andouille sausage, sliced
    1 Tablespoon Cajun seasoning
    4 cups chicken broth
    1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
    1 pound raw shrimp, peeled/deveined/thawed
    1 can (14.5 ounces) Green Giant® Cut Green Beans, drained
    Salt and pepper to taste

STEPS

1 Heat oil over medium in a Dutch oven or large pot until hot. Sprinkle flour in and whisk constantly for 10-12 minutes, until the color turns golden brown.
2 Add onion, pepper and celery. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in sausage and Cajun seasoning.
3 Stir in broth and tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, until thickened.
4 Stir in shrimp and green beans. Cook 5 minutes longer, until shrimp is pink and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
