Lists of ingredients:

  • 14 ounces extra firm tofu, cubed
    2 Tablespoons cornstarch
    2 Tablespoons neutral vegetable oil
1 can (15 ounces) Green Giant® Kitchen Sliced Green Beans
    2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Cooked brown or white rice, for serving

    For Sauce:
¼ cup less sodium soy sauce
    2 teaspoons sesame oil
    1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
    1 Tablespoon honey
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 teaspoon minced ginger
    1 teaspoon cornstarch
    ¼ teaspoon black pepper

STEPS

1 Press tofu cubes between a few sheets of paper towels to release excess liquid. Add tofu to a bowl and toss in cornstarch.
2 Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet for 2 minutes. Add tofu and sear for 4 minutes. Flip tofu and cook 4 minutes longer to evenly brown.
3 While tofu cooks, stir together sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
4 Reduce heat to low. Add green beans to skillet. Pour sauce over green beans and tofu. Stir. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, until sauce has thickened. Serve this green bean tofu stir-fry hot with rice, garnished with sesame seeds.

TIPS & TRICKS

You want your sesame ginger tofu to crisp up just right, so here are some simple ways to help get that crave-worthy crunch:

– Pull out your wok or cast-iron pan, as both cooking vessels are designed to take on high cooking temps efficiently and evenly.

– Use canola, peanut or avocado oil when stir-frying, because these varieties can handle the heat without smoking.

– Stir that stir-fry often to keep it from burning, and add a splash of water if the ingredients start sticking to your pan.
