  • For Pesto:
    2 cups fresh basil leaves
    ⅓ cup pine nuts, lightly toasted (reserve 1 tablespoon for serving)
    2 cloves garlic
    ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
    ¼ teaspoon pepper
    ½ cup olive oil
    1 Tablespoon lemon juice

    For Pasta:
    1 box (16 ounces) penne pasta
    1 can (14.5 ounces) Green Giant® French Style Green Beans, No Salt Added, drained

STEPS

1 Cook pasta according to package directions, 9-10 minutes.
2 While pasta cooks, combine basil, pine nuts, garlic, parmesan cheese and pepper in a food processor. Blend until finely chopped. Drizzle in olive oil with food processor running. Add lemon juice and blend once more. Set pesto aside.
3 Drain pasta and return to pot. Stir in green beans and half of the pesto. Transfer to a serving dish and top with remaining pesto and reserved pine nuts. Serve warm.
