Green Giant product(s) used: Green Giant® Sweet Peas

Lists of ingredients:

  • 1 can (29 ounce) Green Giant® Family Size Sweet Peas, drained
    ½ cup tahini
¼ cup olive oil, plus extra for serving
    1 Tablespoon lemon juice
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    2 fresh mint leaves
    Salt to taste
    Sliced vegetables, for serving
Toasted pita bread or crackers, for serving

STEPS

1 Combine peas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and mint in a food processor. Blend until smooth, scraping sides with a spatula as needed. Taste and season with salt.
2 Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with extra olive oil. Serve with sliced vegetables and pita for dipping.

TIPS & TRICKS

Serve Creamy Green Pea Hummus just like you would serve any hummus, with sliced vegetables or toasted pita chips. It makes a delicious spread for sandwiches and burgers that’s a lighter alternative to mayonnaise. You can also serve it warm as a sauce for grilled chicken or fish, adding a little water if you like a thinner sauce.

For a more colorful presentation, sprinkle some paprika over the hummus and garnish with a few peas.
