Lists of ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    1 small yellow onion, minced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 cans (15 ounces each) Green Giant® Very Young Small Sweet Peas, drained
    4 cups low sodium chicken broth
    2 dried bay leaves
    ½ teaspoon dried thyme
    ½ teaspoon black pepper
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    4 ounces diced cooked ham

Steps

STEPS

1 Heat oil in a large pot over medium. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and translucent. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
2 Add sautéed vegetables, 1 can of peas and chicken broth to a blender. Blend until smooth.
3 Return to pot over medium heat. Stir in ham, bay leaves, thyme, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 15 minutes.
4 Stir in remaining peas and cook 1 minute longer to heat through.
5 Ladle your creamy pea soup with ham into bowls and serve hot.
