  • For Sauce ½ cup low sodium beef stock
    1 Tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
    1 Tablespoon oyster sauce
    1 Tablespoon lime juice
    1 Tablespoon brown sugar
    1 teaspoon cornstarch

    For Stir Fry
    2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
    1 pound strip or ribeye steak, thinly sliced
    ¼ teaspoon black pepper
    ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
    ½ cup chopped white onion
    1 can (14.5 ounce) Green Giant® French Style Green Beans No Salt Added, drained

    For Serving
    4 cups cooked white rice
    2 teaspoons sesame seeds

STEPS

1 Whisk together ingredients for sauce in a small bowl. Set aside.
2 Heat oil in a skillet over medium until hot. Blot excess moisture from steak with paper towel and season with black pepper and garlic powder. Sear steak for 3 minutes, stirring once. Add onion and cook 2 minutes, stirring regularly.
3 Add green beans and sauce to skillet. Stir to combine. Cook 2 minutes longer, until sauce is thickened, and green beans are heated through. Serve hot over rice, garnished with sesame seeds.

TIPS & TRICKS

We recommend adding one teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken the Vietnamese stir-fry sauce, but if the sauce becomes too thick in the pan while you’re cooking, add a teaspoon or two of water to thin it out again.
